Fifi is a fusion and theatrical dance artiste blending elements of bellydance with artistic stylings borrowed from Art Deco/Nouveau, Kabuki, Vaudeville, Burlesque, old school musicals and the subcultures of Gothic, Neo-Victorian and Steampunk.
Fifi brings you over 30 years of dance experience & has trained extensively both here & overseas with a focus on Tribal Style Bellydance. She was certified by Kajira Djoumahna in Lvl1 BlackSheep BellyDance format (2005) and has also completed the General Skills Certification with Carolena Nericcio (Fat Chance Belly Dance format).
She has also learnt from Rachel Brice, Kami Liddle, Zoe Jakes, Samantha Emanuel, Jill Parker, Olivia Kissel, Sharon Kihara, Sabine, Deb Rubin, Devi Mamak, Sashi, Artemis Mourat, Ozgen, Melusina, Hale Sultan and many others.
Significant training highlights include completing 'Eight Elements : Initiation' in September 2013 with Rachel Brice in Portland USA, a 5 day intensive 'Foundation in Tribal Fusion Bellydance' in February 2012 with Kami Liddle, 5 day Wild Honey Intensive 2013 with Olivia Kissel & Jill Parker & the 5 day 2012 Hawaii Winter Intensive with Kami Liddle & Zoe Jakes.
Fifi is well known for her skillful use of a wide range of props to enhance the dramatic element of her performances. Fifi invites you to open yourself to new concepts in dance, challenge yourself, explore the boundaries of your expression and incorporate dramatic elements seamlessly into your dance.
FiFi often collaborates with other performers (Circus and Burlesque) to produce eclectic theatrical presentations and is available to run workshops in Nouveau Fusion, Tribal Fusion and various props including Burlesque Feather fans, Isis wings, Fan veils, Scimitar (Sword) single OR double.
